Welcome to Maday's Page!

My name is Susan Maday and I am the Special Education Director at Excel High School on Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday and Friday. I received my Bachelor’s of Arts in English Literature from the University of the South a very long time ago! I also have my Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities and Mental Retardation from Western Carolina University. I have been working in the education field for 16 years. This is my third year working at Excel.

My priority for Excel is making sure all students are able to access the curriculum and become successful students. I primarily work with students with learning disabilities and also struggling learners. My favorite moment is when a student leaves Special Education services and enrolls in all regular education classes. At this moment, I feel the student and teachers have been very successful in developing a great learner!

After school, I love attending all the sporting events offered at the South Boston Education Complex! Go Knights!!
