My name is Esmirna Soto. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Fisher College. Since 2007, I have served as Parent & Community Coordinator at Excel High School. My role as Parent & Community Coordinator is to:

  • Serve as facilitator between parent and school community to address concerns and issues.
  • Encourage and promote active family involvement in their children's education and make school more welcoming to the families.
  • Coordinate parent/teacher meetings.
  • Direct and assist families to find appropriate resources in BPS and in their own communities.
In addition, I work closely with students as an advisor to Excel’s Student Government and run an after-school Girls Reading Club. The Reading Club gives me the opportunity to encourage young minds to read and be enriched by one another experiences.
