Welcome to Ms. Anderson's Page!

My name is Candice Anderson and I currently teach Creative Writing and Advanced Placement English Language and Composition.  I have been teaching in the Boston Public Schools for nine years, but this is my first year at Excel.  I completed my master's degree at Northeastern University a few years ago.  While I was in graduate school, I also taught a few sections of freshman composition and worked in their writing center.  I thoroughly enjoy teaching English and find the students’ insights and observations fascinating.  No matter how many times I’ve taught a text previously, each new class brings something new to my attention.  I also enjoy working with students on their writing. I am continually surprised, entertained, and impressed.
