Ms. Vache Picture

My name is Jocelyn Vache. I came to Excel in 2007. Currently, I am teaching ESL (English as a Second Language), and French. After school, I hold art sessions for students to explore different techniques of visual expression and to build their portfolios. I also hold after school sessions in French recovery and enrichment for students who choose to independently further their French studies beyond the level required for graduation. In addition to teaching, I am responsible for ESL administration as Excel’s LAT Facilitator and as a BPS trainer. I have a B.A. in Communication with minors in French and studio art and a Film Studies Certificate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I also have a T.E.F.L. Certificate from Rutgers University and an M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. I’m originally from Massachusetts, but went to France in college to study. Then, in 2000, I settled in Paris and began teaching English. Since my return to Boston, I have taught French, ESL and art to students of all ages in a variety of settings. My passion is linguistic and visual communication, and I am privileged to be teaching the highly motivated students of Excel. I feel lucky to play a part in students’ learning and to watch them develop their language skills and creative talents.
