Welcome to Ms. Slattery's Page!

Hi my name is Ms. Slattery and I am a 9th and 10th grade English teacher at Excel High School. I attended the University of New Hampshire where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. 2 years after I graduated from UNH I decided to earn my Master’s degree in secondary English/Language Arts at Lesley University in Cambridge, after which I was hired at Excel. This is my second year with Excel High School. A goal I have for Excel would to be to maintain the level of academic rigor that the school has worked hard for and displayed. I have had many positive moments with Excel students, from students being excited for passing the MCAS to past students coming to my room to say ‘hi’ and tell me how they are doing in their current classes. One of the highlights of my career has been being the co-senior advisor with Ms. Nam. I enjoy getting to know students that I do not normally have in class. I am very excited to be working with them all!
