Welcome to Ms. McCormack's Page!

Hi! My name is Maura McCormack and I am the Student Development Counselor for grades 9-12 here at Excel High School. I have been working at Excel High School for the past 5 years. I started off as a guidance counselor intern during the 2006-07 school year and was hired as a Student Development Counselor the following year. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications at Bridgewater State College in 2000 and earned my Masters of Education in School Counseling at Suffolk University in 2007. My main priority at Excel High School is to ensure that each and every student is prepared to succeed in both college and career. I feel that the faculty and staff here at Excel pride themselves on fostering a safe, creative and rigorous environment to help their students reach such goals. Helping students navigate their plans for the future has always been my primary goal. I have had countless memorable experiences with students during my time here at Excel, however I am extremely proud of the scholarship and merit money that Excel’ s graduates have raised and I look forward to seeing this year’ s graduating class break the $3, 200,000 record that the class of 2010 set!
