Welcome to Mr. Pereira's Page!

Hello! My name is Mr. Pereira. I am a teacher and coach at Excel High School. I currently teach 10th grade Biology and 12th grade AP Biology as well as coach baseball in the spring. I attended Boston College for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees where I received a BS in Biology (2001) and MEd in Curriculum and Instruction (2004). I have been at Excel High School for 10 years. My goal as a teacher is to continue to improve my skills as an educator by challenging myself to try new approaches. My goal for my students is for them to become independent learners that ask good questions and develop various skills for discovering answers. I am looking forward to another challenging and rewarding year working at Excel High School.
